The first training update! I've just started fundraising and because there is no way to donate online, it's going a little slowly. But I feel confident I will meet my goal.
After getting back from Belize 7/11, I was a little sore from climbing the ruins so I skipped a couple of days from my normal work commute. But I made up for it on Saturday, which was a 61 mile ride in Davidsonville. The weather was great and the first part of the ride was amazing.
But by lunchtime (2/3rds of the way through the ride), I wasn't feeling that great. I think it was because I was only drinking water and not Gatorade or some other sports drink and wasn't getting enough salt. As soon as Michelle lent me some of hers, I felt 100% better. And I managed to average 17+ mph over the whole 61 miles!
